Sahabat (A Book Of Short Stories About Friendship)

February is coming to an end already. How are you guys doing? I hope you guys are doing good.

Since Kuala Lumpur Book Festival 2020 is coming in one month (end of March 2020), I think it is a good time for me to unveil a project I've been working on since August last year. For those of you who followed me on my Instagram and Facebook page, I'm sure you guys can already guess what I'm going to share with you today.

Last year,  I collaborated with Pn. Sri Diah (my mentor and one of Malaysia's top novelist), and 17 fellow authors for a book writing project. The book is titled, Sahabat. Now I would like to introduce the book Sahabat to you guys. Sahabat means "Friends" in Bahasa Malaysia. Sahabat is a book of short stories about friendship. The book contains 19 stories from 18 authors. One of the authors is me -Fadima Mooneira. In Sahabat, I wrote a story titled KDK-Kawan Dari Kecil (Friends From Childhood Days). KDK is a heartwarming story about me and my BFF -Maddie. Maddie and I have been best friends since we were seven years old, and we are still the best of friends now. KDK is my special tribute to Maddie. Maddie has been a very good friend to me. She is so precious to me.

Besides me, Sahabat also features short stories from Fazimah Hayati (Kau Bayu Yang Meniup Sayapku & Dia Penawar Hati), Mohamad Ishak Hamidun (Relax), Aidahaniza Abdul Wahab (5 Soalan Keramat), Wan Zumusni Wan Mustapha (Umrah Je Pun), Solehah Alwi (Sahabat, Imanmu Adalah Mentariku), and many more. All stories are in Bahasa Malaysia. Sahabat is publish by Writers Write and will be launch this 28.03.2020 (pls mark you calender!). Sahabat is also a self-publish book. 

I am feeling happy and grateful to be given this opportunity. To me, this opportunity means a lot and this is my first step as a book author. Sahabat is my first book although it's a collaboration project with other authors. It is always a dream for me to become an author and have my book publish. I love writing so much. To me, writing is my heart and a way for me to express myself and share my imaginations with others. I will work harder and smarter after this to make my dreams of becoming an author a reality. Besides Sahabat, I am also working on other writing projects. 

I would like to thank Pn. Sri Diah for allowing me to participate in this project. To my 17 fellow authors, it was a wonderful experience working with you guys. I hope to work with you guys again in the future. I wish you guys the best for your future projects. I would also like to thank the editor team for assisting me and my fellow writers in this project.
