My Melaka Vacation
Eiyo dearies,
Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira blog. I'm back with a new post ^_^
Last December, my family and I traveled to Melaka for a one week vacation before Christmas. So in this post, I'm going to share with you guys my 10 pictures during the Melaka vacation.
To my foreign readers, Melaka is Malaysia's historical state. It is one of the most visited states in Malaysia. In Melaka, tourists can experience and learn history, arts, and cultures.
#1
This picture was taken at Umbai on our first day in Melaka. Umbai is a small village situated in Jasin District. Umbai is a famous place to eat seafood in Melaka. If you love seafood, you must visit Umbai.
#2
This is the super-delicious salted egg crab that we had at Mukmin Ikan Bakar Alai Crystal Bay. Mukmin Ikan Bakar is one of the best seafood restaurants in Melaka. This restaurant is a place to dine in Melaka. The restaurant is situated at Jalan Alai Perdana 8, Alai area, Melaka.
#3
It was my mother's birthday on the 14th of December. So we had my mother's birthday dinner at Me'Nate restaurant. Me'Nate is a Malaysian own restaurant that serves its customers steak, wagyu beef, and western cuisines. The price to eat and dine at Me'Nate is quite pricey. But the quality of the food and service makes the price worth it. Besides Melaka, Me'Nate also has its restaurants in Shah Alam, Bandar Baru Bangi, Setapak, Ampang, and Johor Bahru.
#4
This picture was taken at the front entrance of Masjid Tengkera. Masjid Tengkera is also known as the Tranquerah Mosque. Masjid Tengkera is a must-visit spot in Melaka. It is one of the historical hotspots in Melaka. The mosque is situated in Melaka City, and it was built in 1728. This mosque used to be the state mosque of Melaka before Al Azim Mosque was built in 1990.
#5
This picture was taken at Pantai Puteri. Pantai Puteri is a famous beach in Melaka. It is situated at Tanjung Kling, Central Melaka. At Pantai Puteri, tourists can enjoy various activities such as water sports, fishing, and camping. Pantai Puteri also has a night market stretching along the road in parallel with the shoreline.
#6
Jonker Walk is one of my favorite places in Melaka. It is also the most popular and a must-visit place in Melaka. Jonker is a place to learn history and experience culture. At Jonker Walk, tourists can shop for handicrafts and traditional souvenirs, antique stuff, visit art galleries, museums, and taste Melaka delicacies. Jonker Walk is a colorful and happy place. But during this pandemic, there were not many tourists at Jonker Walk. And most shops, galleries, restaurants, and even cafes were closed.
#7
Mamee Monster and me at Mamee Jonker House. Mamee Jonker House is one of my favorite places to visit in Melaka. Mamee Jonker House is situated at Jonker Walk. Mamee is a famous instant food brand (mostly focus on instant noodles and snacks) in Malaysia. Mamee's hometown is Melaka and the mascot is Mamee Monster. If you guys travel to Melaka, you will see Mamee Monster on most billboards and street signs. Mamee Monster is the ambassador of Melaka. Just like Hello Kitty is the ambassador of Japan. At Mamee Jonker House, you guys can visit the Mamee museum, shop for Mamee souvenirs at Mamee gift shop, and dine at Mamee cafe.
#8
Coconut shake is a must-try if you visit Melaka. It's very delicious, smooth, soothing, and thirst-quenching. You can find coconut shakes at any food stall on streets or restaurants.
#9
Me in front of Hard Rock Cafe Melaka. I'm sure all of you know what is Hard Rock Cafe right? Hard Rock Cafe is a rock-and-roll themed cafe with high energy vibe. The cafe serves its customers burgers and American classic cuisines. Besides eating and dining, you guys can also shop at the Hard Rock souvenir shop next to the cafe. Hard Rock Cafe Melaka is situated at Lorong Hang Jebat.
#10
This is our last picture in Melaka. This picture was taken at the SGI Melaka Vacation Club lobby (that's where we stayed in Melaka) by the hotel staff.
Ok, so these are all the pictures of my Melaka vacation that I want to share with you guys. Our vacation was more of a relaxing and leisure one instead of an adventurous one. We did not get the chance to visit many hotspots in Melaka. It is because most hotspots were close due to the pandemic. Travel feels so different during this pandemic season compare to before. However, I am grateful that my family and I had a great vacation and we return home safely.
Ok, that's all for now. Thank you for reading. Will see you guys again soon. Take care and stay safe.
XoXo,
Fadima Mooneira ^_^
