BLOGGERS INTERVIEW: With Dazed Mari

Welcome to my first ever Bloggers Interview episode. This year, I decided to have a Bloggers Interview on my blog. The objectives of this interview are to feature my fellow bloggers on my blog, help my fellow bloggers get recognition, learn more about blogging from my fellow bloggers,  and improve my networking with other bloggers. 

For the first episode, I interviewed an Asian blogger named Dazed Mari (a.k.a Mari). Mari and I have been blogger buddies for almost two years. We got to know each other on Twitter. Mari is a very cool and adorable girl. She likes kawaii things. Her blog is full of kawaii things. If you're a fan of kawaii things, you need to visit and follow Mari's blog.

THE INTERVIEW

1. Eiyo Mari, pls, tell me about yourself and your blog.

 

My blog's name is "Dazed Mari." It's a combination of my favorite magazine + my name. My niche is love & beauty. But I also include geeky stuff like video games, anime, and Star Wars. I've been enjoying book blogging as well, recently.

2. How long have you been blogging?

 

I've been blogging since the days of Xanga/LiveJournal/Tumblr pre-monetization era. I have been blogging for a couple of years now with content that is less of a Dear Diary vibe. So, my style of blogging now is more akin to newspaper columns or magazine articles. But my favorite kind of blogging is still personal and that's why I made a series of love letters on my blog. 

 

3. What makes you want to become a blogger?

 

I've been blogging since I was 12 I think. It's just so nice to share a little bit of your world and also to take a glimpse at other people's world too. 

 

4.  Does your blog have a corporate color, logo, mascot, or banner? If yes, please describe?

 

My blog color scheme is pink, gray, black, gold, peach, and brown. My logo is just my initial: M for Mari. My banner is meant to imitate a newspaper header with a little bit of pink, feminine touch - flowers, polaroids, ripped papers & brush strokes.

5. What are your top 3 most successful posts? What makes you think these top 3 posts are appealing? Please provide a URL to your top 3 most successful posts.

 

I feel like my Popular Posts always changes. But as of now, my top three posts are (just click on each link to read Mari's  top 3 articles):

I'm not really sure why people like these posts haha. But I can tell you for sure that I think the Love Tarot Reading does pretty well because I think people are in love with love :)

 

 

 

6. Besides writing on your blog, do also write and contribute articles to other blogs and websites? If yes, please mention it.

 

Aside from my blog, I also publish posts at Fashion Potluck. An online women's magazine based in Amsterdam & LA. The CEOs of Fashion Potluck and the community are very warm, friendly, and supportive. They also have amazing graphics and their aesthetic is always on point :)

 

 

7. Where do you wish your blog to be in 5 years?

 

I wish for my blog to be here forever like outer space. I hope I can create a brand that's recognized ten years from now :D
