WHEN MARKER-PEN MEETS PAPER: SEVEN FACTS ABOUT ME AS AN ARTIST

Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira. How are you guys doing? I hope you guys are doing good. To my foreign friends in the northern hemisphere, I'm sure you guys are enjoying your summer now. I hope you guys have a good summer. Have fun, but please take care of yourself too, ya ;) To those in the southern hemisphere, have a good winter wonderland season.

To my Malaysian friends, please stay strong and keep calm. I know our country is really in a bad shape right now. But please believe that all these turmoils will end soon. Insya'Allah. Aamiin. Remember, there's always light and hope in every darkness. At the moment, please keep on praying for all of these to end. And please be kind to each other. Insya'Allah, Allah S.W.T will help us find our way out.

Today, I want to share a special post with you guys. Last week, I mentioned in all of my social media accounts that this July I'm going to start the Fadima Mooneira Monthly Art Gallery Virtual Tour on my blog. And that day is today. Yay! I believe 07.07 is a good date for me to start this art gallery virtual tour.

So today, I'm going to share five of my latest illustrations with you guys. And I'm going to be your tour guide. So ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,  please sit back, relax, and enjoy this tour. Now let's move to the first illustration for this tour...

#1 IU AS SNOW WHITE

This first illustration is a drawing of my favorite K-pop idol and Hallyu actress - IU. I draw IU as Snow White in this illustration. My fellow K-pop stans, UAENAs (IU's fans), and I always see IU as Snow White's doppelganger. IU looks exactly like Snow White with her sparkling dark hair and eyes, snowy fair skin, cherry red lips, and her overall ethereal look. And if Snow White is a real person, she will definitely look like IU ^_^ 

This illustration is hand-drawn. I used iPad Pro and iPencil to draw it. I also used Adobe Sketch for this illustration. And of course, I changed Snow White's fashion for this illustration. I want to give it a more modern and trendy look. 

#2 LEE JONG SUK FOR PRADA

Ok, now let's move to the second illustration of this tour. The second illustration is my drawing of South Korea's hunky actor and model -Lee Jong Suk (LJS). Last month, LJS shared a picture of him in an electric green Prada bomber jacket with tangerine gloves on his Instagram. My eyes were full of tiny hearts when I looked at that handsome picture of LJS. LJS handsomeness in the picture motivated me to draw this illustration.

This illustration is hand-drawn, and it is a marker-on-paper illustration. I used Copic, Sharpie, and Kurecolor marker pens for this illustration. Ok, that's all for the second illustration. Now let's move to the third one...

#3 MY PROTAGONIST- EMIL MUHAYAT

This is not a South Korean or any Asian-Hollywood actor. This is an illustration of the protagonist for the novel I'm currently working on right now. His name is Emil Muhayat. He's a handsome diplomat in his early 30s. Emil is intelligent, intellectual, charismatic, brave, smart, suave, and charming. I created Emil after my current man-crush, Malaysian-Australian actor - Remy Hii. Hehehe ^_^

This illustration is also hand-drawn. I used iPad Pro, iPencil, and Adobe Sketch to draw it.

#4 KIM SOO HYUN IN BLACK & WHITE BALLPOINT SHADING

The fourth illustration of this tour is my drawing of South Korea's highest-paid actor now- Kim Soo Hyun. This illustration is hand-drawn, and I used a black ink ballpoint to draw it. It took me one hour to draw this illustration.

#5 EMIL & DAHLIA IN PINK SHADES OF LOVE

Last but not least, here's an illustration of my protagonist -Emil, and his love interest/wife- Dahlia in pink. Pink is my second favorite color after red. I believe pink is a lovely, sweet, and romantic color. To me, pink is not just for girls and women. The color pink also looks lovely for boys and men. Hehehe ^_^

This illustration is also hand-drawn using iPad Pro, iPencil, and Adobe Sketch.
