YOONA THE ASIAN APHRODITE (PLUS FIVE FACTS)

Im Yoona is now one of the most successful  South Korean actresses and singers. She is a member and the face-of-the-group for Girls Generation. Girls Generation is one of South Korea's most popular all-girl groups. Yoona made her debut with the group in August 2007. Together with the group, she achieved success and fame worldwide.

In 2008, Yoona made her debut in acting. Her first television drama was You Are My Destiny. Yoona's superb acting in the drama had scored her two awards. She won Best New Actress at the KBS 23rd Drama Awards and the 45th Baeksang Arts Award. Well done, Yoona! 

As an actress, Yoona has won several awards. She is one of the best and most talented actresses in Hallyu. Yoona is very versatile, and she can channel all kinds of roles. Some of her famous dramas are Love Rain (2012), Prime Minister & I (2013), The K2 (2016), The King In Love (2017), and Hush (2020-2021). Besides dramas, Yoona also acts in movies. Some of her movies are Confidential Assigment (2017) and Exit (2019).

Besides being an A-list actress and singer, Yoona is also known as a commercial film queen. She's one of the hottest commercial film queens in South Korea now. She has endorsed several brands.  CNN once credited Yoona as "one of the household names in the Asia-Pacific region" which has helped Korean beauty brands become popular in China. Some of the brands that Yoona has endorsed are Innisfree, Estee Lauder, Micheal Kors, Pandora, DB Insurance, Tous Le Jours, Crocs, Lee Jeans, S-Oil, etc. 

In Asia, Yoona is admired and adored for her talent, charisma, down-to-earth personality, beauty, and elegance. Yoona is also a fashion and beauty icon. She is an Asian aphrodite with an elegant fashion sense. Most men in Asia see Yoona as their dream girl and ideal type, while young girls look up to Yoona as their role model.

According to most South Korean media, Yoona is one of the K-pop girls with the best personality and clean image. Yoona is not just a pretty face celebrity. I agree with this statement. With all her inner qualities, I believe Yoona is a good role model to young people. She is one of the Hallyu beauties I admire besides Song Hye Kyo, IU, Bae Suzy, Kim Yoo Jung, and Lee Sung Kyung.  So for today's post, I'm would like to share with you guys four reasons to make Yoona a role model.  Now let's get started...

#1 SHE'S HARDWORKING AND ENTHUSIASTIC

Yoona is one of the most hardworking celebrities in Hallyu. She will always make sure that her performance improves in all her projects. Yoona also likes to learn new things. In one of her interviews, Yoona mentioned that learning and doing new things will always be her life goal. Her all-time life goal shows that Yoona is enthusiastic. I believe this is the attitude all Millenial girls like us should have. During her free time, Yoona likes to bake delicious pastries (she shares most of her baking projects on her Instagram @yoona_lim) and learn foreign languages (especially English and Mandarin). 

#2 SHE HAS A SUNNY PERSONALITY

Hollywood legendary actress, Audrey Hepburn once quoted, "I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls" This quote is so true. All girls will automatically look beautiful when they are happy. Happy girls share their smiles and laughter with others.  And they also behave nicely and make others happy.  Yoona is one of these girls. Yoona likes to smile and laugh out loud. Her smile melts everyone's heart. Her smile also looks sincere and kind. And her laugh sounds lively to hear. Besides smiling and laughing, Yoona also likes to talk about good things in her interviews. The beautiful actress often told the media that she is grateful for all her blessings. Yoona also mentioned in one of her interviews that her life experiences have matured her a lot. And she always learned new things from her experiences. Wow...she's a positive woman. And btw girls, being grateful is one of the keys to be a beautiful woman.

#3  SHE'S NOT SHY TO BE HERSELF

Besides acting and singing, Yoona also likes to appear on reality TV shows. As a fan, I watched most of the TV shows that featured Yoona. From those shows, I can see that Yoona is a genuine person. She is not shy to be herself. She is not shy at all to take the Mickey out of her. She's a very bright and cool person. So it's not a surprise why most guys see her as their ideal type. She has the personality.

#4 SHE'S GENEROUS

Yoona has a heart of gold. She's one of the K-pop idols who likes doing charities and help those who are in need. Since her early days as a celebrity, Yoona has always contributed to society through regular support in silence.  In 2010, Yoona regularly participated in year-end sharing to help low-income people in South Korea. During the same year, her donation amount exceeded 100 million Korea won. Later, the generous actress became the 731st honorary member of the Community Chest of Korea organization. And in 2015, Yoona became the first idol to join the Honor Society (the club of people that donate more than 100 million Korea won). 

Ok, so these are the four reasons to make Yoona a role model. These are also the reasons why I admire and became a fan of Yoona. To me, Yoona is a beautiful woman inside and out. She's one amazing woman. She's definitely a good role model to young people.

As a fan, I will always support Yoona in her career. I wish Yoona all the best in her career and hope that she will become more successful in the future.
