Im Yoona (better known as Yoona) is now one of the most successful South Korean singers and actresses. She was born on the 30th of May 1990 in Seoul, South Korea. She is a member of an all-girl K-pop group called Girls Generation. Besides being successful as a singer and actress, Yoona is also famous as a beauty & fashion icon, commercial film queen, role model, and every guy's dream girl.

Yoona made her debut as a celebrity with Girls Generation on the 5th of August 2007. In two days, Yoona will be celebrating her 14th Anniversary as a celebrity. So for today’s post, I’m going to share with you guys about Yoona as a singer and member of Girls Generation, actress, beauty and fashion icon, commercial film queen, role model, and every guy's dream girl. So let’s start now…

Yoona begins her career as a celebrity by joining an all-girls K-pop group, Girls Generation. Five years before her debut with the group, Yoona participated in the 2002 SM Saturday Open Casting Audition (an audition by S.M Entertainment). She passed the audition with flying colors and joined S.M Entertainment as an idol trainee in the areas of acting, singing, and dancing. And the rest is history.

On the 5th of August 2007, Yoona made her debut as a Girls Generation member. Girls Generation became immensely successful in South Korea and across the world. In Girls Generation, Yoona is the lead dancer, support rapper, and support vocalist. Yoona is the face-of-the-group, and she is the most popular Girls Generation member.

Yoona is now one of the A-list leading ladies and K-Drama Queens in Hallyu Entertainment. Yoona made her debut as an actress a year after she became a singer.

Her first drama was You Are My Destiny (2008). You Are My Destiny marked Yoona’s career breakthrough as an actress. The drama earned her the Best New Actress awards at the 23rd KBS Drama Awards and the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. Besides You Are my Destiny, Yoona’s other dramas are Love Rain (2012), Prime Minister & I (2013), The K2 (2016), The King In Love (2017), and Hush (2020-21). And besides dramas, Yoona has also acted in movies. Some of her movies are Confidential Assignment (2017) and Exit (2019).

Yoona has won loads of acting awards. She is one of the most talented actresses in Hallyu entertainment. She is also one of the chemistry queens in K-dramas. Yoona has chemistry with most of her leading guys.

This year, 2021, Yoona will slay the whole South Korean showbiz by being paired with seven supreme A-list actors such as Hyun Bin, Lee Dong Wook, Lee Jong Suk, Seo Kang Joon, Kim Young Kwang, Kang Ha Neul, and Kwak Dong Yeon. Wow!!!!!!!!! What a lucky lady. Don’t be jealous, girls.

As a fan, I admired Yoona for her enthusiasm, zest, hard work, and charisma. During her free time, Yoona likes to learn new things, do baking and study foreign languages. Besides Korean, Yoona is also fluent in Mandarin and English. Yoona also has a very sunny personality. She is a positive thinker and a go-getter girl. Plus, she is also kind and generous. Yoona likes to contribute to charities and help those who are in need.
