FIVE REASONS TO ADMIRE REMY HII

Hallyu is the South Korean answer to Hollywood. Hallyu is a Chinese term for Korean Wave. And the Korean wave refers to the global popularity of South Korea's cultural economy promoting the nation's pop-culture, entertainment, music, TV dramas, and movies. 

Hallyu is now one of the world's biggest phenomena and it has brought a big change to the world's entertainment industry. The rise of Hallyu made the pop-culture fandom move from the west to the east. 

Hallyu is now one of Hollywood's biggest rivals besides Bollywood. Like Hollywood, Hallyu is also embracing the diversity trend. The South Korean government has mentioned last year, 2020 that Hallyu is going to be the entertainment hub for all Asian celebrities in the future. If you're a K-Wave follower like me, I'm sure you are aware that there are many international K-pop idols in the industry nowadays. Even some South Korean filmmakers are hiring foreign actors for their projects, especially Asians.

In March this year, I shared a post titled, FIVE ASIAN-HOLLYWOOD OPPAS WHO CAN MAKE IT BIG IN HALLYU. In the post, I listed five Asian-Hollywood actors who I believe can become A-List heartthrobs in Hallyu because of the qualities they have in them. One of the oppas that I mentioned was Remy Hii.

Remy Hii is a Malaysian-Australian actor. He is famous for his roles as Brad Davis (Spider-Man: Far From Home), Alistair Cheng (Crazy Rich Asians), Simon Van Reyk (Harrow), Prince Jingim (Marco Polo), Hudson Walsh (Neighbours), and Von Tuong Nguyen (Better Man). In Hollywood and the Australian entertainment industry, Hii is known for his superb acting skill, versatile talent, charisma, intelligence, down-to-earth personality, and perfect visuals.

I believe Remy Hii has the complete package to become a perfect oppa and will storm Hallyu with his qualities. That's why I listed him as one of the Asian-Hollywood oppas who will storm Hallyu. So in this post, I'm going to share with you guys the five reasons why Remy Hii can become an A-list heartthrob in Hallyu. Now let's begin with reason no. 1...

#1 HE'S A VERSATILE ACTOR

Having a versatile acting talent is super important for all actors in the Hallyu entertainment industry. Filmmakers like actors who are versatile and can channel all kinds of roles. That's why in Hallyu, actors with versatile acting talent get more projects than those who are not. Even fans also adore actors with versatile acting talent.

Hii is definitely a versatile actor. Hii can channel all kinds of roles. Hii already played a prince on a white horse, a high school boy, a rich spoil brat, a chef, a drug trafficker, and etc. With his versatile acting talent, I'm sure Hii will score at least five projects a year in Hallyu. And I'm sure filmmakers will love him for his versatile acting talent.

#2 HE'S MULTI-TALENTED

Besides being versatile, Hii is also a multi-talented celebrity. Besides acting, this hunk can also sing, write songs and scripts, play musical instruments, take beautiful pictures, and cook delicious meals. 

In Hallyu, celebrities who are multi-talented can easily ace the industry. So with his multi-talent, Hii can stand in the same row with Park Seo Joon, Kim Soo Hyun, Ji Chang Wook, and Kang Ha Neul (these are some of the A-list heartthrobs in Hallyu now. They are all multi-talented and versatile).

#3 HE'S A GOOD COOK

This Malaysian-Australian hunk loves cooking and is a good cook. Hii loves sharing his cooking videos on his Instagram story. Plus, he can cook different kinds of cuisines - Chinese, Korean, Italian, French, Japanese, etc. 

And if you're a K-Wave follower, I'm sure you know that the South Korean entertainment industry broadcasts a lot of cooking programs on their television channels. And these cooking programs like to feature and invite actors as celebrity guest stars in the show. 

So with his cooking passion and talent, I believe Hii can appear in many of South Korea's TV cooking programs and win many audiences' hearts. Fyi, South Korean audiences like hunks who can cook. Hehehe ^_^

#4 HE'S A DOWN-TO-EARTH & BRIGHT PERSON

Having a good personality and image is super important for those who want to be successful in Hallyu. Celebrities who are down-to-earth and intelligent are highly respected in Hallyu entertainment.  

In Hollywood and the Australian entertainment industry, Hii is known as a humble and intelligent celebrity. Hii is a low-profile person who enjoys simple things in life. Hii is also an Asian hunk with brains. Hii likes to share intelligent and intellectual stuff with his fans on his social media. With his humble personality and intelligence, Hii will be lovable in Hallyu. Fans will look up to Hii as their role model.

#5 HE HAS THE ULZZANG BOY LOOK

The "ulzzang" term refers to "best face" in the Korean pop-culture. Ulzzang is similar to the "boy-candy" and "babe-magnet" terms in western pop-culture. 

Besides being known for his talent and intelligence, Hii is also known for his perfect visuals, charisma, and charm. Hii has the ulzzang boy look that will swoon South Korean audiences' hearts. He has the adorable eye-smile ^_^, the suave boy next door look, flawless and smooth skin, and a tall masculine figure. Plus, he is also charming and charismatic. So with his charisma, charm, and perfect visuals, Hii can score some endorsement contracts with any skincare, fashion, and alcohol brand in South Korea.

Ok, so these are the five reasons why Remy Hii can become an A-list heartthrob in Hallyu. As a fan of Remy Hii and a K-Wave follower, I definitely want to see him in K-dramas or K-movies in the future. I believe Hii will be an awesome addition to K-dramas and K-movies. And I definitely want to see him as IU's leading man. Hehehe ^_^ I think they will look beautiful and adorable together.
