The Book Heartthrob Profile series is back, guys ^_^ Yay! For today's episode, I'm going to feature Thomas Cavendish. He is the heartthrob is Julia Quinn's Mr. Cavendish, I Presume. Now let's not waste time and begin this analysis with Thomas' profile...


THOMAS CAVENDISH'S PROFILE

NAME: Thomas Cavendish

AGE ESTIMATED: Mid 20's (23-26 years old)

NATIONALITY: English/British

OCCUPATION: He was born to become the Duke of Wyndham.

HIS ROLE IN THE STORY: The male protagonist

HIS GOALS: Thomas wanted to know his real identity (Is he the real Duke Of Wyndham?), and he wanted to marry Amelia Willoughby.


HIS PERSONALITY

Thomas was a very responsible person. He took care of himself well because of the title he inherited (Duke of Wyndham). He stayed out of scandals and juicy gossip. He learned and grabbed all the knowledge he has to know as the Duke. Thomas was very committed to his task, career, and responsibility.

Julia Quinn also portrayed Thomas as a very romantic and loving man. Thomas loved Amelia dearly and wanted the best for her. Yet, Thomas was also a charming and suave man. He was all dreamy. I had a crush on Thomas when I was reading Mr. Cavendish, I Presume. Hehehe ^_^


HIS PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

Julia Quinn portrayed Thomas as a very good-looking man. Thomas was tall, masculine, well-dress, and all manly. He had black hair and icy blue eyes. I believe Thomas' handsomeness is out of this world. Black hair and icy blue eyes are quite a rare combination.


HIS BACKSTORY

Thomas was born to become the Duke of Wyndham at the beginning of the story. And he was also engaged to Amelia Willoughby when she was only six months old. As the future Duke of Wyndham, Thomas stayed out of scandals and juicy gossip. He took care of himself well and learned all the things that he need as the Duke. Thomas even kept his promise to Amelia's family that he will marry her when she is 21 years old. 

But things changed for Thomas in the middle of the story. Thomas' long-lost cousin, Jack Audley came into the scene and claimed that he was the son of the previous Duke of Wyndham (Thomas's uncle). Could this be true? Thomas was confused. If Jack was the real Duke, this means that Thomas was never engaged to Amelia. Thomas was not happy with this. He doesn't bother much about the Duke title. He just wanted Amelia as his wife.


MY OVERALL REVIEW OF THE CHARACTER

I love Thomas Cavendish's character so much. He is a symbol of a strong man. He is responsible, committed to his duties, and wants the best for the woman that he loves. I believe Julia Quinn created this character so well. She made Thomas so lovable to her readers.

Thomas is now one of my favorite book heartthrobs besides Harry Rutledge (Tempt Me At Twilight) and Cam Rohan (Mine Till Midnight). I really had a crush on him when I was reading the novel. Because of Thomas, I might read Mr. Cavendish, I Presume again. Hehehe ^_^ Btw, I wonder who will be cast as Thomas Cavendish if Mr. Cavendish, I Presume is going to be adapted into a movie or drama series. Hehehe ^_^

    This sounds like a great book. I don't know why I haven't read this yet, as it's just up my street :) I love the sound of the twist in the middle where his cousin jack turns up saying he was the first born son. I'd love to see what happens. Will have to add this to my btr list.
