BE CREATIVE AND IMAGINATIVE WITH THE CONTENT CHEST

Joining communities is a must for all freelancers in the creative industry. Joining communities help freelancers to promote their work and talent, get opportunities, meet like-minded people, and also learn new things. 

As an authorpreneur, freelance content creator, blogger, and illustrator, I also have joined a lot of communities. From joining communities, I met like-minded people who have the same passion and dreams as me. It makes me happy, and more motivated in my craft. Plus, I like most of the people I met in the communities I’ve joined. Being a member of these communities also helps me to learn new things that are related to my work and field, gives me opportunities for freelance work and collaborations, promotes my work and talent, and makes me more confident. 

As a blogger, I write about Lifestyle, Pop-Culture, Edutainment, Travel, and Beauty. I’m a big follower of Asian pop-culture, especially K-pop and Hallyu. I geek and write a lot about Asian pop-culture, K-pop, and Hallyu on my blog. To me, pop-culture is not just about entertainment. Pop-culture is also educational. Learning pop-culture makes you creative, imaginative, and innovative. It makes you think out of the box and see the world differently.

On the 22 of April 2022, I joined a community called The Content Chest (TCC). TCC is a community for all K-pop lovers and content creators. TCC is not just a community for members to chat about K-pop, but it is also a community to help members to learn content creation, marketing strategies, and branding. FYI, K-pop is not just about bubblegum music, colorful fashion, and being cute. K-pop can also be educational. The K-pop industry has the most creative marketing strategy for all content creators to learn. So for today’s post, I’m going to share some thoughts about the community with you guys. But first, let me share a summary of the community’s founder, Izzy Matias.

The Content Chest community was created by an Asian blogger named Izzy Matias, who is also a big follower of K-pop and Hallyu. Btw, she’s an Aroha ^_^ Besides being a blogger, Izzy is also a published author and content creator. Izzy is a very creative genius girl, and she has a good mission and vision to make the world a better place for everyone. Izzy wants to inspire others to be unapologetically themselves by sharing content that she likes and creating this community. Ok, so this is my summary of The Content Chest community’s founder, Izzy Matias. Now I’m going to ask myself seven questions about The Content Chest, and the answers will be my review of the community.

#1 WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST LEARNING/TAKEAWAY FROM THE MEMBERSHIP?

As a follower of K-pop, I always knew that K-pop is more than just entertainment. K-pop is also about life, art, and education. Joining The Content Chest makes me strongly believe in my thoughts on K-pop. Plus, I learned K-pop marketing strategies for content creation from joining this community. It is simply awesome.

#2 WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE FEATURES?

I like all of the content that Izzy shared in this community. All the content are not just about entertainment. They are also very educational.

 #3 WHAT DID YOU LIKE ABOUT THE COMMUNITY?

I believe The Content Chest is an awesome community for all content creators, those who work in the creative industry, and those who are marketers. From TCC, members can learn the new Korean way of marketing, which is more creative, imaginative, and enjoyable. 

I believe Izzy Matias is a creative genius for creating TCC. Besides teaching us the Korean way of marketing, TCC is also a very lively community. I believe those who are marketers and working in the creative industry must join TCC. Trust me, guys, you won’t regret it.

#4 HAS THE CONTENT CHEST COMMUNITY CHANGED YOUR THOUGHTS ON K-POP & HALLYU?

As a follower of K-Pop, I always believe that K-pop is educational and not just entertainment. But unfortunately, not many people believe me except for my fellow K-poppers. I remember when I was working at the Prime Minister’s Office, most of my colleagues laugh at and make fun of me for being a K-popper. They even criticized me badly. They told me that being a K-popper makes me appear childish, not intelligent, and not elegant enough. It was hurtful at that time. But after I joined The Content Chest, I feel extremely confident with my thoughts on K-pop. It’s true… K-pop is educational. It depends on how you see it. All thanks to Izzy that I’m now an unapologetically K-popper.

#5 DID THE MEMBERSHIP MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS?

So far, yes. I believe Izzy shares awesome content for this community. And all the content is lively. This community brings a lot of positive vibes.

 #6 WHAT CAN BE IMPROVED FROM THE MEMBERSHIP?

I hope that Izzy will create some social media accounts for The Content Chest such as Instagram and Facebook Page. Creating Instagram and Facebook Page for the community will give it a bigger hype. I hope this community will be big in the future.

Besides that, I also would like to suggest that this community accept and publish articles and even artworks from its members in the future. This is for the members to showcase their creativity and talent, get their voices heard, make them visible, and allow them to make more friends with like-minded people. I’m sure this community will be a happy place for content creators and K-poppers.

#7 ANY OTHER FEATURES YOU WISH WERE A PART OF THE MEMBERSHIP? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PRICING?

According to Izzy, the membership fee is a non-refundable one in the amount between Php350 – Php5000, or its equivalent in your local currency. This fee is for one month's membership.

As a first-time member of this community, I have no comment on the pricing. It all depends on the founder and those who are interested to join. Ok, so this is my review of The Content Chest. Overall, TCC is an awesome community. I believe The Content Chest is not just for K-poppers, but this community is also for all creative and artistic people to join.
