Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira. The Fadima Mooneira Bloggers Interview is back with an awesome and amazing blogger in the house. For the August/September bloggers interview episode, I interviewed an Irish blogger named Vourneen. She's the blogger behind The Plain Simple Life. The Plain Simple Life is a blog about minimalism and decluttering. The Plain Simple Life is a very excellent blog. Vourneen's contents are awesome and unique. You guys can learn a lot of things and tips on living a minimalist lifestyle and decluttering from The Plain Simple Life. But besides The Plain Simple Life, Vourneen is also the blogger behind Snap Happy Spoonie and The Passive Plan.

NAME: Vourneen
ZODIAC: Capricorn
COUNTRY ORIGIN: Ireland
HOBBIES: Travel, musical theatre, playing guitar/ukulele
FAVORITE FOOD & DRINK: Pasta and a coke zero (super healthy haha!)
FAVORITE COLOR: These days I lean towards very neutral colors
FAVORITE MUSIC: A bit of everything, but mostly rock
FAVORITE MOVIE: Ooh this is a tough one. I love feel-good movies and one of my favorites is The Blind Side. I also love Christmas and The Holiday is my favorite Christmas movie
ROLE MODEL: My mum for sure, she’s so strong and still travels all over the world even though she’s close to 80!

#1 Eiyo Vourneen, welcome to Fadima Mooneira. First, please tell me about yourself and your blog.
Hi, I’m Vourneen and I currently have 3 blogs (I know, crazy!). My travel blog, the original of the three, is Snap Happy Spoonie and is all about travel with a chronic illness (a Spoonie is someone with a chronic illness). My second blog is all about my minimalism and decluttering journey. And my third is teaching others about the different streams of passive income I use.
#2 Wow! Three blogs? That's awesome ^_^ So how long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging for almost 3 years now. But have really only taken it seriously in the last year.
#3 What makes you want to become a blogger?
Initially, it was to write about my travels and share them with friends and family. But when I saw I was gaining other types of traffic and that it could potentially be a business, I began looking into launching more blogs.
#4 What makes your blog unique compared to other blogs?
My travel blog, Snap Happy Spoonie, deals a lot with travel with a chronic illness. As I have several chronic illnesses and it sometimes hinders my travels, I felt it might be helpful for others.
The Plain Simple Life is all about my minimalism journey. This is my most successful blog. It seems a lot of people want to declutter and live a simpler life but aren’t sure where to start.
The Passive Plan may not be particularly unique but it’s where I love to teach what I’ve learned about blogging so far and the different passive income streams I use.
#5 Does your blog have a corporate color, logo, mascot, or banner?
Funnily enough, all my blogs center around a blue or green color scheme. They’re mostly pretty plain, with no mascot.

#6 How often do you publish a new post? And how do you keep yourself motivated?
I try to do at least one post on each of my blogs every week. Some weeks where I’m not as busy I’ll be able to get two done.
I’m not always motivated to do it, far from it! But what keeps me motivated to continue posting is manifesting the life of freedom I want in the future.
#7 Do you have any strategy to boost your blog traffic? Please share some tips.
I’m all about learning SEO and doing proper keyword research. I don’t rely on gaining traffic from social media anymore as these platforms can change all of a sudden. I created an SEO ebook on the strategies I used to get to 10,000 pageviews in 6 months, which you can find here.

I hope they’re still going strong. I’m really interested in flipping websites – you know like houses, when you buy a house, do it up and sell it on? I’d love that to be my business in the future.
