This month's episode is going to be a bit special compared to the episodes before. It's because I'm going to feature a book heartthrob that is evergreen to all romance readers. Yep, his name is Sebastian, Lord. St. Vincent. And he is the book heartthrob created by Lisa Kleypas for her evergreen historical romance novel, Devil In Winter. Now let's begin this analysis with Sebastian's bio...
ABOUT SEBASTIAN, LORD ST. VINCENT

HIS ROLES IN THE STORY: Sebastian is the male protagonist & the love interest to the female protagonist, Evangeline Jenner (Evie).
HIS GOALS:
Sebastian is on the verge of bankruptcy and he is desperate for money. To save himself, Sebastian believes that he must marry a woman from a rich family.
In It Happened One Autumn (Book 2 in The Wallflowers series), Sebastian is desperate to marry Lillian Bowman, an American heiress & Evie's best friend. Lillian's family is very rich. Sebastian is only after the Bowman's fortune. But he has no feelings for Lillian. However, Sebastian's plan is stopped by Marcus, Lord Westcliff (Lillian's lover & the male lead in It Happened One Autumn) at the end of the story.
At the beginning of Devil In Winter, Evie meets Sebastian on one chilly winter night. She offers herself as his wife. Evie is desperate to escape her toxic relatives. And she believes Sebastian is her only option. Evie knows that Sebastian is desperate for money. So besides herself, Evie also offers Sebastian money. However, her proposal comes with one condition: no lovemaking after their wedding night. Surprisingly, Sebastian accepts Evie's proposal.
In the middle of the story, Evie becomes Sebastian's new goal. The wicked rake has fallen in love with the innocent redhead beauty. He is willing to do anything to win her heart. And that's where the magic begins...
HIS PERSONALITY
Sebastian is a very charming and alluring hero. He is devilishly good-looking, charismatic, bold, brave, courageous, and romantic. He has an awesome skill at seducing women. However, his skill doesn't work on Evie. Evie wants more affection.
HIS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
Sebastian is an extremely good-looking man. He is tall and all masculine. He has golden blonde hair, light blue eyes, perfect cheekbones, jawline, and nose. When I read Devil In Winter, I pictured the young Brad Pitt as Sebastian. He is sooooo dreamy looking. Oh, how I miss Brad Pitt in The Legend Of The Fall, Sleepers, Meet Joe Black, and Troy.
HIS BACKSTORY
This character begins as a rake who enjoys having loads of affairs. But have no intention to fall in love and get married. Sebastian loves seducing unhappy married women. To him, these women are easy and fun. In It Happened On Autumn, there is a scene where Sebastian talks to his buddies about the affair he just had with a rich person's wife. Wow... he's wicked!
Sebastian only thinks about getting married when he is on the verge of bankruptcy. He is willing to marry any woman from a rich family. He wants a woman who can offer him a good dowry. But still, Sebastian doesn't bother to fall in love. But along came a redhead beauty who changes the wicked rake forever...
MY OVERALL REVIEW OF THE CHARACTER
Sebastian is LK's most beloved hero of all time. All female readers who have read Devil In Winter admit that they fall in love with Sebastian (including me. Hehehe ^_^) Sebastian is a swoon and crush-worthy book heartthrob indeed. And most LK fans named Sebastian as their no.1 favorite LK hero.
Sebastian is also an LK hero with the most interesting character arc. He was first portrayed as an antagonist in It Happened One Autumn. When I first read It Happened One Autumn, I was quite shocked at how wicked Sebastian was. But when I read Devil In Winter, I start falling in love with this character. I like the way Sebastian treats and loves Evie.
I believe LK really did a great job developing Sebastian from a wicked rake to a romantic, loving & devoted husband. Devil In Winter is now one of my all-time favorite romance novels. The story is so heartwarming and romantic. Book experts already listed Devil In Winter as one of the evergreen romance read and a Must-Read novel for all LK fans. I highly recommend it to all bookworms who are into the romance genre. You must not miss this novel, guys! And trust me, you will fall in love with Sebastian's character. That is for sure ^_^
Btw, Sebastian's character did not just end in Devil In Winter. Since Sebastian is LK's most popular hero, he is also featured in Mine Till Midnight, Devil In Spring, The Devil's Daughter, and Devil In Disguised. You guys must not miss these novels as well if you're a big fan of Sebastian ^_^

DeleteSebastian is the first LK hero I crushed on, and still love until now 😍 Can't decide which is my favourite LK hero though, because now there's Rhys Winterborne 😍 and Tom Severin too 😍 I think the main reason I fall in love with Sebastian is because of the way he really cares for Evie and how he is willing to sacrifice himself to protect Evie ❤
