BOOK HEARTTHROB PROFILE: RHYS LARSEN FROM TWISTED GAMES
Eiyo Fadneiras,
The Book Heartthrob Profile series is back again! Yay!!! ^_^ For this month's episode, I'm going to feature Rhys Larsen from Twisted Games. Rhys is a book heartthrob created by the queen of the new adult romance genre, Ana Huang. Now let's begin this analysis with Rhys' profile...
ABOUT RHYS LARSEN
NAME: Rhys Larsen
AGE ESTIMATED: Early 30s (32-35 years old)
NATIONALITY: He's half American and half Eldorran (Eldorra is a fictional country created by the author. It is situated in Europe).
OCCUPATION: He is an elite bodyguard
HIS ROLES IN THE STORY: Rhys is the male protagonist and the love interest of the female protagonist, Princess Bridget Von Ascheberg.
HIS GOALS:
At the beginning of the story, Rhys only wanted to do his job as an elite bodyguard which is to protect his clients at all costs and never become emotionally involved. But Rhys changed his goals when he became Princess Bridget's bodyguard. Rhys wanted Bridget even though he knew he couldn't have her.
HIS PERSONALITY
Rhys is described as stoic, broody, and arrogant. Rhys hardly smiles. He is the kind of man who has his rules and will stick to them. To some people, Rhys may look like a heartless person. But deep down, Rhys is a very kind and caring person. He is also very loving, romantic, and protective.
HIS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
Rhys Larsen has the physical attributes of a sexy beast. He is tall and very masculine. He has dark features. His hair is black in color. And his eyes are cold grey. Rhys has a sexy scar on his forehead. The scar gives Rhys an enigmatic look. Oh wow!!! I like that!
When I was reading Twisted Games, I imagined French actor and model, Aurélien Muller as Rhys. I believe Muller has the same beasty enigmatic look as Rhys. So he is perfect to be fan cast as Rhys. Hehehe ^_^
HIS BACKSTORY
Rhys Larsen's mother committed suicide when he was only a child. Rhys blamed himself for his mother's death. The death of his mother made him a stoic and cold person. Rhys also never knew who his real father was until his boss, Christian Harper showed him a DNA test result. Rhys' real father was from Eldorra and he was someone related to the royal family.
Do you guys want to know who Rhys' father is? You guys need to read the book. Sorry, no spoiler alert here :P
MY OVERALL REVIEW OF THE CHARACTER
To me, Rhys Larsen is a very dreamy and alluring alpha male hero. Yes, I had a crush on this character while I was reading Twisted Games. I like his dark and enigmatic vibes. These vibes make the characters so swoon-worthy.
But what I like most about Rhys, is his chemistry tension with Bridget. Their slow-burn romance makes the story intriguing and the book a page-turner.
Overall, I believe Huang crafted this character well. Huang is really the queen of swoon-worthy romance and alpha male heroes. That's why her novels are so enjoyable to read.
Okay, so this is my analysis of Rhys Larsen, a book heartthrob created by Ana Huang for her second book in the Twisted series, Twisted Games. For those who have read Twisted Games, what are your opinions of Rhys Larsen's character? Did you like his chemistry with Princess Bridget? Please share your opinions with me in the comment box below.
Alright, this is all for now. Thank you for joining me again in this month's book heartthrob profile episode. Insya-Allah, the book heartthrob profile series will be back again next month with another swoon-worthy book heartthrob to melt your heart. So don't miss out. Take care ^_^
