Fadima Mooneira is back again with the second post of October. For today's post, I'm going to share my review of Twisted Games by Ana Huang. Now let's begin this review with Ana Huang's bio...

Ana Huang is an Asian-American author. She's now the US Today and Amazon bestselling author. Huang is known as the queen of the new adult romance fiction. Her stories include alpha male heroes, strong heroines, and plenty of steam, angst, and swoon sprinkled in. Most of her novels have been sold to over two dozen foreign publishers for translation and featured in outlets such as NPR, Cosmopolitan, Financial Times, and Glamour UK.
This creative genius young author describes herself as a self-professed travel enthusiast. As a jet setter, Huang loves featuring beautiful places that she visited in her stories. She's also obsessed with hot chocolate and has multiple relationships with fictional boyfriends (same as me ^_^).
ABOUT TWISTED GAMES
Twisted Games (TG) is the second book in Ana Huang's Twisted series. The Twisted series follows four best friends- Ava, Bridget, Jules, and Stella.
In Twisted Love (the first book of the series), Ava achieved her fairytale. So now, it's time for Bridget to meet her prince charming.
Bridget Von Ascheberg is the Princess of Eldorra (a fictional country created by the author). She is the second in line to the crown. Her brother, Nikolai is the Crown Prince of Eldorra.
Bridget has always dreamed of freedom and finding true love. But when her brother abdicates, Bridget is forced with the prospect of a loveless political marriage and a throne she never wanted.
But Bridget doesn't want to disappoint her grandfather, King Edward of Eldorra. So Bridget accepts her new responsibilities even though those responsibilities are going to crush her. Yes, Bridget is going to be the Queen of Eldorra. And this means she must face things that she does not want to. And that includes loveless political marriage.
As Bridget navigates the intricacies and treacheries of her new role, she must also hide her desire for the man that she loves but can't have - her bodyguard and protector - Rhys Larsen.
Stoic, broody, and arrogant, Rhys Larsen only has two rules: protect his clients at all costs and never become emotionally involved. Rhys has never thought that he would break those rules. But his thoughts change when he becomes Bridget's bodyguard. Rhys is captivated by Bridget. He wants her even though he knows he can't have her.
So what will be the end of Rhys and Bridget's love story? Are they going to achieve their fairytale? Are they going to fight for their love? Is Bridget willing to let go of her throne just to be with Rhys? And is Bridget willing to disappoint her grandfather?
MY REVIEW OF TWISTED GAMES
Twisted Games is the second book from Ana Huang I've read. I like this one more than Twisted Love. To me, Twisted Games is more intriguing than Twisted Love. The plot, the storyline, the characters, the chemistry tension between the FL and ML- all are intriguing.
This book is a page-turner. It makes you wonder what is going to happen next. What is the ending of Rhys and Bridget's love story? How is the author going to wrap up the story?
Like Twisted Love, Twisted Games also has an unpredictable plot twist and ending. I can't guess the ending and the culprit in this story till the end. And when I found out who the culprit was, it shocked me like crazy. I was like "huh???!!!" OMG!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it! Someone so innocent was the culprit! Wow!!! Huang is really good when it comes to playing with readers' emotions. Bravo!
I also like the way Huang created Bridget's character. I believe this character is well-crafted and a good role model to young girls. Bridget is elegant, classy, beautiful, intelligent, quick-witted, and courageous. She knows how to differentiate between her responsibilities as the queen and her dreams.
And as for Rhys Larsen, he is a dreamy hero. I love his dark vibes. Rhys' dark vibes make him so swoon-worthy. Auwww!!! Huang is really the queen of swoon-worthy romance and alpha male heroes.
Overall, Twisted Games is a very enjoyable novel to read. I rate this novel 10/10. Insya-Allah, I will reread it in the future. I like everything about this novel. It's a perfect new adult romance novel.
I'm now not just a fan of Ana Huang. But I'm also addicted to her novels. Yep, Huang now has joined Lisa Kleypas and Anjell as my all-time favorite romance authors. I have seven of her novels on my shelf. I'm now doing an Ana Huang Twisted marathon. I'm now reading the third book (Twisted Hate) in the Twisted series. Soon, I'll be reading the fourth book (Twisted Lies). Hehehe... I know I'm crazy. Ngehehe ^_^
I highly recommend my fellow bookworms who are into the new adult romance genre to read Ana Huang's Twisted Games. I'm sure you guys are going to love this novel. I'm also going to be honest here that there are a lot of steamy explicit scenes in Twisted Games. So this novel is not suitable for those who are under 18.
