The Book Heartthrob Profile series is back on Fadima Mooneira. Yay! As I promised in my previous post, this month’s episode is about Demian Wong. He is a book heartthrob I created for my latest short story, Danfo. The short story Danfo is published in Komplot Cerpen Penulis Paluan Seni Vol.2 (KCPPS 2). KCPPS 2 is a book of short stories by 23 authors including me ^_^
Okay, sit down and relax, guys. Let me introduce the handsome and swoon-worthy, Demian Wong to you...
ABOUT DEMIAN WONG
NAME: Demian Wong
AGE: 27 years old
NATIONALITY: Australian. Demian is a Eurasian. His father is a Chinese-Malaysian, while his mother is English. The Wongs migrated to Australia when Demian was only a kid.
OCCUPATION: Actor
HIS ROLES IN THE STORY: The male lead & love interest to the female lead, Hana Sakura.
HIS GOALS: Demian is fascinated with Hana Sakura. He is interested in getting to know the new webtoon artist. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get her near him even though his move might be harsh. Oops!
HIS PERSONALITY
Demian is portrayed as a very cheeky and naughty dude. He is also quick-witted, bold, and brave to go for everything he wants. And he always wins.
Demian is an alpha male with absolute confidence. But his confidence sometimes makes people see him as a very vain, high-headed, and rude person. People mark him as ‘Jejaka Poyo Bertingkat’ (a very vain chap). This is very unfair. Deep down, Demian is a very cool and easy-going going guy-next-door. He is also a down-to-earth dude. Demian is definitely a nice guy to be with.
HIS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
Demian is a very handsome hunk. He is blessed with strong masculine physics and stunning Asian visuals. His skin is not very fair but not very tan. His hair is black in color. His eyes are hawk-like and they are hazel in color. His nose is sharp and small. His lips are natural cherry red in color.
Like Emil Muhayat (my MC in Fail Merah), Demian is also modeled after Malaysian-Australian actor, Remy Hii. The story Danfo is inspired by a dream I had during my sleep. Yep, I dreamt of meeting Remy Hii. And the dream I had is exactly like the story Danfo.
Since Danfo is inspired by the dream I had, I modeled Demain Wong after Remy Hii. At first, I was thinking that I should model him after another hunky actor since I already modeled Emil Muhayat after Remy Hii. But it doesn’t click.
However, I modified Demian’s looks to make him look a little bit different and younger. Demian has hazel eyes, while Remy has dark brown eyes. And Demian’s hair is darker than Remy’s.
HIS BACKSTORY
Demian Wong is an Australian actor of Chinese-Malaysian and English descent. He was born in Malaysia. Demian and his family moved to Australia when Demian was only a little kid.
Being an actor sometimes makes Demian lonely. Demian has friends. But he wants someone special. Demian thinks Hana is an extraordinary girl even though he has never met her. Her talent in webtoon drawing and story writing fascinates him. He wants to get to know her. But he doesn’t know what is the best way to approach her. So Demian gives Hana’s first webtoon, Peach Tree a harsh comment just to win her attention.
\MY OVERALL REVIEW OF THE CHARACTER
I can strongly relate Demian Wong to Gilbert Blyte from L.M Montgomery’s Anne Of Green Gables. Like Demian, Gilbert also did something naughty to Anne Shirley just to win her attention. He pulled her hair and called her carrots. It made Anne very angry and hit Gilbert on the head. But that was also the time she started to notice him. And like Demian, Gilbert was also into smart girls.
Overall, I enjoyed creating Demian Wong and writing the story Danfo. I believe Demian is a very joyful book heartthrob. He is cool, funny, naughty, and a happy-go-lucky dude. He is the kind of guy I like to be friends with and even date. Hehehe ^_^
