MY ENGLAND VACATION: POSTCARDS FROM KENT

2024 is just around the corner. Are you guys ready for a brand new year? Hehehe ^_^ So how was your 2023? I hope you guys had a fantastic year, and may 2024 be a better year for all of us. Insya-Allah. Aamiin. 

Syukur alhamdulillah, 2023 has been a good year for me. I describe my 2023 as awesome. I achieved most of my goals. This year, I took my creative writing career to a new level, made many new friends, traveled a lot with family, and published one collaboration book and my first zine. Btw, I'm going to share all of these in detail in today's post. So make sure you read this entry till the end. Hehehe ^_^

But at the same time,  I still experience the ups and downs in life this year. Well, ups and downs is something we all can't avoid. And I had one sad moment this year. On the 30th of November 2023, one of my best friends, Fadet passed away due to kidney cancer. Al-Fatihah. You left too soon, babe. However, this is not the end of our friendship. Insya-Allah, I will work hard to become a good person day by day. And hopefully, I will see you again in akhirat.

#1 TRAVELED OVERSEAS WITH FAMILY

Syukur alhamdulillah, in 2023 my family and I got the chance to travel to two different countries ~ England (Kent and London) and Thailand (Phuket and Bangkok). London, Phuket, and Bangkok weren't new to us. We visited these places several times. But Kent was new to us. Syukur alhamdulillah, Kent was beautiful and we loved it there. There were so many interesting places to visit in Kent. And I'm grateful that I had the chance to meet up with my former flatmate, Kate. Kate is from Malawi. She's now living and working in Kent. I am also grateful that I was given the chance to meet up with Indy in London. Indy is also my former flatmate. She's from Portugal and now living in London. Btw, Indy is the girl who gave me the pen name 'Fadima Mooneira'. Hikhik ^_^

#2 TRAVELED DOMESTICALLY WITH FAMILY

Besides overseas, my family and I also traveled domestically this year. Yep, we did some cuti-cuti Malaysia ^_^ This year, we visited Kuantan and Melaka. And I'm grateful for these trips. Road trips are always fun for me ^_^

#3 PUBLISHED A NEW BOOK

This year, I participated in another book-writing collaboration project. The organizers of this collaboration project were Paluan Seni and Kopena. The book is titled Komplot Cerpen Penulis Paluan Seni Vol. 2 (KCPPS 2). KCPPS 2 is a book of 23 short stories by 23 authors. In KCPPS 2, I wrote a short story titled Danfo. Danfo is a Notting Hill reverse rom-com about a webtoon artist and an actor. The book is selling at RM28.00. #4 PUBLISHED MY FIRST ZINE

Bukan Kecil Tapi Merah~ my first zine & a compliment to Fail Merah

On the 11 of Dec this year, I launched my first zine titled Bukan Kecil Tapi Merah (BKTM). Bukan Kecil Tapi Merah zine is a compliment for my novel, Fail Merah. The zine features snippets, fun facts, quotes, and fan art of Fail Merah characters. For Emil and Dahlia shippers, this zine is made for you. So what are you waiting for? #5 PARTICIPATED IN THE KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR

This year, took my creative writing career to a new level by participating in the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF 2023). Participating in the book fair was the best moment of 2023 for me. In fact, it was the sweetest memory of my life. I am forever grateful for this experience. Syukur alhamdulillah. Participating in KLIBF gave me experience, insight, and knowledge about the book industry in Malaysia. Plus, it gave me exposure and helped me gain recognition as an author. I hope I will get the chance to participate again in the book fair next year. Insya-Allah.

#6 MADE NEW FRIENDS

For some people, making new friends is a small thing. But for me, it's a huge achievement. That's why I have this as a goal every year. Syukur alhamdulillah, this year I met a lot of awesome and cool people. Participating in KLIBF doesn't just give me experience, knowledge, exposure, and recognition. It also helps me make new friends and most of them are writers ^_^

To my fellow writers ~ Yuda Areni, Kid Haidér, Mak Chantek, Puan Amshida, En. Salhan, you guys are awesome human beings. I'm forever grateful to meet and get to know you guys. You guys made my 2023 lively. Insya-Allah, may our friendship last till Jannah. Aamiin. Good luck with whatever you're doing now. Hope to see you guys again in KLIBF 2024 ^_^

Okay, so these are by big wins of 2023. I'm grateful for all my blessings. Now let me share some of my 2024 goals...

THINGS I WANT TO ACHIEVE IN 2024

#1 I want to publish my second novel. Insya-Allah.

#2 I want to participate in the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair again next year. I also want to participate in other events for authors.

#3 I want to publish my second zine.

#4 I want to participate in more collaboration projects.

#5 I want to work on my third WIP. Insya-Allah.

#6 I want to travel more with family.

#7 I want to make new friends.

#8 I want to be a better version of myself ^_^
