For those who are frequent readers of my blog, I'm sure you guys know that I like to geek about Hallyu, K-pop, K-dramas, and K-hunks in my pop-culture niche. But today's post is going to be different. Instead of geeking about Hallyu and K-hunks, I'm going to introduce the seven hot Malay hunks in Malay dramas today to you guys. Yay!!! These hunks are not just good actors. They are also hot, stunning, and charismatic. And I hope you guys are excited to check them out.

Malay dramas stand for Bahasa Malaysia dramas. With live streaming TVs and good actors, Malay dramas have become an in-thing in Malaysia and other ASEAN countries. Now let's check out these seven hot Malay hunks that make Malay dramas huge...

#1 NADHIR NASAR

Nadhir Nasar is more than just a handsome face. This talented and charismatic young actor is famous for his role as Naim Ismet in Projek: High Council. This 26-year-old actor was born in Michigan, America. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). Besides being an actor, Nadhir is also famous as a model. Nadhir's celebrity career began after he was crowned the champion of Hero Remaja 2020 (an elite modeling contest in Malaysia). Nadhir's latest movie is titled Pendekar Awang. In Pendekar Awang, Nadir plays Tahir and he is the show stealer in the movie. Btw, Nadhir Nasar is now one of my mom's favorite boys ^_^

#2 HUN HAQEEM

This handsome Sarawakian-born actor and model is famous for his roles as Ariff in Cari Aku Di Syurga, Qhalish in Cinta Belum Tamat Tempoh, and Jaafar in Kampung People. Besides dramas and films, this 25-year-old hunk is also hot on runways. Hun Haqeem is adored by fans for his stunning visuals, charisma, talent in acting, and down-to-earth personality. His latest drama is titled W: Two Worlds. The drama is now showing on VIU and it's an adaption of a 2016 South Korean drama, W-Two Worlds (starring Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo).

#3 MEERQEEN

With his oozing charisma, X-Factor, and stunning visuals, this Selangorian-born actor and model is now the hottest man in the nation. In fact, he is also listed as one of the most good-looking men in ASEAN and  Top 100 Handsome Faces of 2023 by T.C. Candler. This super gorgeous 22-year-old hunk, began his career as a celebrity after he won third place in Hero Remaja 2020. Meerqeen is most famous for his roles in Angkara Cinta, Marry Me Senorita, Malaysian Ghost Stories, Melur Untuk Firdaus, and Ash & Aish. FYI, Meerqeen is not just famous in Malaysia. This Malaysian hunk has been invited to many runway shows in Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Milan, and even Paris. Meerqeen is now Malaysia's new pride and icon. Btw, he's my favorite Malay hunk now. Hehehe ^_^

#4 AMIR ANHAF

This 23-year-old Terengganu-born actor and model began his career after participating in the Hero Remaja 2021/2022 contest. Amir is famous for his role as Kahar in Projek: High Council. Besides Projek: High Council, Amir is also famous for his roles in Scammer Geng Marhaban, Gamers Mangkuk, and Syurga Itu Bukan Mudah. Amir is not just a handsome face hunk. He's an alumnus of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and MRSM Kuala Terengganu. FYI, MRSM is one of the elite boarding schools in Malaysia. Besides acting, Amir is also active in sports and music.

#5 MIERUL AIMAN

Mierul Aiman was born in Putrajaya during the year 1998. But he was raised in Kuala Lumpur. This gorgeous and adorable hunk began his career after winning the Hero Remaja 2021 contest. Yep, he was the champion of Hero Remaja 2021, guys. Like Nadhir Nasar and Amir Anhaf, acting in Projek: High Council put Mierul Aiman's name on the map of ASEAN. Yep, Projek: High Council was the most popular Malay drama last year, guys. 

#6 AEDY ASHRAF

This 30-year-old Kelantanese hunk began his career as a child actor. Aedy has been in show business since he was only 10 years old. Some of his famous films are Jutawan Fakir, Cinta Kolestrol, Tangkai Jering, Tak Ori Tapi Ok, Tipah Tertipu The Movie, Tentang Bulan, Dorm Melati, Blok 404, Gol & Gincu Vol.2, Tebus, and War On Terror: KL Anarchy. 

#7 HAEL HUSAINI

Hael Husaini began his career in the entertainment industry as a singer after winning the second spot in Akademi Fantasia 2013. Hael launched his first solo single titled Jampi in 2017. The single became a smashing hit and it won Anugerah Juara Lagu 2018. FYI, Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) is a prestigious music contest in Malaysia. Last year, Hael Husaini ventured into acting. His first drama is titled My Famous Ex-Boyfriend. In the drama, Hael played the antagonist, Haque Zuhal. Hael's superb performance in the drama won the audience's hearts. My Famous Ex-Boyfriend was listed as one of the most famous Malay dramas in 2023.
