Welcome back to Fadima Mooneira. And welcome to FM's first post of February. In my previous post, I mentioned that I will share some Febulove specials this month. So today's post is going to be the first Febulove special. Hooray! Yep, I will share a list of 10 romantic love songs to listen to this Febulove. These songs are also my all-time favorite love songs. Now let's check out the list. We shall begin with no.10 to no.1...

#10 LAGU KITA BY AIZAT AMDAN

Lagu Kita (Our Song) by Aizat Amdan was released 2008. This song was written and performed by Aizat Amdan. Aizat Amdan is one of Malaysia's top singers and songwriters now. This song has become an inspiration for me in fiction writing. Lagu Kita was used as a love theme for my first novel, Fail Merah. In Fail Merah, there's a scene where the male lead, Emil Muhayat sings this song to the female lead, Dahlia Jamilah during their picnic date while playing his guitar. Oops... this is all. No spoiler alert! Hehehe :P

#9 HAL HEBAT BY CAKRA KHAN

Hal Hebat was released in 2020. This song was originally performed by Govinda and Ernie Zakri. Not long after that, Indonesian divine soloist, Cakra Khan made a cover version of this song. And Cakra Khan's version of Hal Hebat became more popular than the original one. 

#8 SI FUERAS MIA BY D.O.

Si Fueras Mia is a Spanish love song performed by South Korean singer and Exo member, D.O. Si Fueras Mia means If You Were Mine. This romantic ballad expresses the longing and desire of a man for the woman that he loves. The lyrics describe the intense feelings and emotions of how a man wishes to have the woman that he loves all to himself. Aww!!! I like the lyrics and the melody of this song. And I'm planning to use this song as a love theme for my future WIP. Ngehehe ^_^

#7 ROSE BY D.O.

Rose by D.O. was released in 2021 in the album Emphaty (same as Si Fueras Mia). Like Si Feuras Mia, Rose also expresses a man's desire and longing for his crush. The song tells the story of a man who spends plenty of time fantasizing about the woman he has a crush on. Towards the end of the song, he finally realizes that he must do something and cannot just admire her from afar. Yep, he must have the courage to confess to her. This song also gives me inspiration for my future WIP. Btw, Rose by D.O. has two versions~ one in Korean and one in English.

#6 WHEN YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL BY RONAN KEATING

If Notting Hill (a 1999 Hollywood film) is your favorite rom-com, I'm sure you're familiar with song no.6.  Song no.6 is titled When You Say Nothing At All, and it is performed by Irish singer and Boyzone member, Ronan Keating. This song is about a man expressing his joy to his special someone. The main character in the song is grateful that he has met his soulmate. Yep, having your soulmate by your side is a beautiful thing. As a romance author, the word soulmate always fascinates me. Plus, soulmate is a very beautiful word.

#5 ALL OF ME BY JOHN LEGEND

John Legend's All of Me is the most beautiful love ballad ever composed. Everything about this song is beautiful to me~ the melody and the lyrics are all just beautiful. The lyrics of this song tell us that romance is not always perfect. Besides beauty, romance comes with challenges and responsibilities. If you love each other so dearly, you face the storm together. Like I always believe, love is an adventure two people share together till Jannah. Malaysia's no.1 romance novelist, Anjell once used this song as a theme for her bestselling novel, Dheo's. All of Me really suits the premise of Dheo's. And there's a scene in Dheo's where the male lead, Dheo Han sings this song to the female lead, Nurissa Rose while playing the piano. It is one of the most romantic scenes in the story. Aww!

#4 YOU TOOK MY HEART AWAY BY MICHAEL LEARNS TO ROCK

You Took My Heart Away (YTMHA) was released in 2000. This romantic ballad was performed by Danish band, Michael Learns To Rock. This song is one of my all-time favorite romantic songs. And it's also one of my all-time favorite lullabies. YTMHA is a very beautiful song indeed. It's a must-listen-to this Febulove. That's why I must have it on my list.

#3 BEAUTIFUL IN WHITE BY SHANE FILAN

Beautiful In White was released in 2017. This beautiful swoon-worthy ballad was performed by Irish divine singer and Westlife member, Shane Filan. Beautiful in White is a heartfelt song about a man's feelings for the woman he cherishes deeply. The male lead in this song expresses his gratefulness to his soulmate/the woman he loves. Beautiful In White is a wedding song. It's a song to celebrate love. 

#2 I DO BY D.O.

I Do by D.O. was released in 2023 from the singer's second mini album, Expectation. This sweet and lovely love tune is also about a man expressing his gratefulness and joy to his special someone. This song makes D.O. listed as an evergreen romantic singer. Yep, most songs sung by D.O. are swoon-worthy. Listening to I Do makes me dream of having someone special by my side. Hehehe ^_^ 

#1 SAMPAI KE HARI TUA BY AIZAT AMDAN

Sampai Ke Hari Tua was released in 2018. This extremely swoon-worthy romantic acoustic song was written and performed by Malaysian soloist, Aizat Amdan. Like D.O's I Do, this song is also about the joy of being with someone special. Among all the love songs I've listened to, Sampai Ke Hari Tua is my no.1 favorite. I love everything about this song~ the melody, the lyrics, the story behind the song are all beautiful to me. Sampai Ke Hari Tua has become an inspiration to all my romantic fiction.

Ok, so these are my top 10 favorite swoon-worthy love songs of all time. Some of these songs have become an inspiration for me to write my romantic fiction. As a writer and music lover, I love using songs as an inspiration, especially when I'm writing a scene for my story. Songs give me ideas and help me to enhance my imagination. Since I just picked my top 10 favorites, let me share my 3 honorable mentions as well...

#1 LOVE, MAYBE BY MELOMANCE

Love, Maybe was released in 2022. This adorable love tune was performed by the South Korean band, Melomance. Love, Maybe is the love theme for A Business Proposal, a 2022 K-drama starring Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong. This song gives me a feel-good feeling and makes me happy. It's a song with positive vibes. 

#2 STRAWBERRY MOON BY IU

Strawberry Moon is an uptempo K-pop song. This song was written and performed by South Korea's sweetheart, IU. Strawberry Moon has a very sweet melody and lyrics. It's about a girl in love. Most fans believe that IU wrote this song for her boyfriend, Lee Jong Suk. Aww!!!

#3 A THOUSAND YEARS BY CHRISTINA PERRY

I'm not a fan of Twilight. But I still enjoy listening to Christina Perry's A Thousand Years. To me, this song has a very beautiful story itself. It's about a person who vows to be brave for the person that he/she loves. This song is also about courage. And to me, courage is one of the most important words in romance. Yep, love comes with courage, guys.
