His name is Ardean Tufail. He is a book heartthrob created by Malaysia's bestselling romance novelist, Anjell for her latest novel, Lelaki Astatine. Now let's not waste time and carry on with the character analysis...
ABOUT ARDEAN TUFAIL
NAME: Ardean Tufail bin Nuqman (But his nickname is A.T ^_^)
AGE: 27 years old
OCCUPATION: Lecturer, scientist, author.
HIS ROLES IN THE STORY: He is the male lead and the love interest to the female lead, Eshal Elzahra.
HIS GOALS:
Ardean wants to be successful in his field. He wants to be a successful lecturer, scientist, and author. He is a very enthusiastic person. Even though Ardean has ambitions and dreams, he still believes that happiness is the no.1 wealth in life. Ardean is a grateful person. Sweet memories are blessings to him. Bad experiences are education to him. Ardean hardly fret.
Arden strongly believes in kindness. He likes helping those who are in need. Ardean also believes that 50% of his happiness is seeing the one he loves happy. He is the opposite of Eshal. Eshal is a very gloomy character. Therefore, Ardean wants to help the woman he loves to become a sunshine person.
In the story, Ardean and his lab partner work on a device that helps paralyzed people move. Ardean wants all paralyzed people including Eshal to have the joy of being able to move again.
HIS PERSONALITY
Ardean is a super cool and healing hero. He is a very sunny character. He is always cheerful and grateful. Ardean also has a good sense of humor. He likes teasing Eshal and makes jokes that make her laugh and happy. What a sweet guy ^_^
Ardean is also a very calm and well-mannered person. If he is not ok with someone or anything, he will say it politely. Ardean is not the kind of man who likes scolding people. Anjell makes him every girl's dream hero. And yes, he is romantic, loving, caring, and sincere. Oh, how I wish Ardean Tufail was real. But I'm sure there are guys like him in this world. Hehehe ^_^
HIS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
Ardean is a very handsome man. He is tall and all masculine. This character loves working out. Hehehe ^_^
Ardean has dark hair and eyes. Ardean also wears glasses. His glasses give him a sophisticated intellectual look. Awww! His skin is quite fair. He also has dimples when he smiles. His dimples make him cute and adorable. I love men with dimples. Hehehe ^_^
When I was reading Lelaki Astatine, I imagined Lovely Runner's Byeon Woo Seok as Ardean. I believe Ardean Tufail's description matches Byeon Woo Seok. Yeah, Byeon Woo Seok is the perfect actor to play Ardean Tufail if Lelaki Astatine is being adapted into a K-drama. And I wish to see Bae Suzy as Eshal Elzahra. Hehehe ^_^
HIS BACKSTORY
Ardean doesn't have backstories. He grew up as a happy kid. Ardean is well-raised by good parents. He is blessed with loads of love and kindness. Ardean's parents trained him to be kind and grateful. Ardean loves helping people. He strongly believes in kindness. Kindness is more valuable than goal and diamond. Being able to help people makes Ardean the happiest person.
Ardean is a young man with zest and enthusiasm. It's because he is always grateful and loves counting his blessings. Every time challenges hit him, Ardean faces them with calm. To Ardean, everything has a silver lining. Bad days aren't forever.
MY OVERALL REVIEW OF THE CHARACTER
Since Ardean is not a grumpy character and doesn't have backstories, some of you may say he is a Gary Stu. But for me, no. Ardean Tufail is not a Gary Stu. Anjell does not make him perfect. Ardean still has ups and downs in the story. But he faces his challenges with a calm heart.
To me, Ardean is a very inspiring character. He inspires those who have read Lelaki Astatine to be grateful, kind, enthusiastic, and not give up on dreams.
I believe this character is well-crafted by Anjell. He is more than just swoon-worthy. He is also inspiring and healing. This character makes you believe in good things. Plus, Ardean Tufail is different from most book heartthrobs I had a crush on before.
Anjell, if you are reading this post, I want to congratulate you on another job well done. Lelaki Astatine is beautifully written. This novel is more than just romance. This story is very inspiring and healing. The characters are awesome. And the writing style is very mature. Lelaki Astatine is one of the best books I've read this year so far. So please keep up the good work, Anjell. Forget about what the toxic netizens said. They are just jealous of what you have achieved.
Okay, so this is my analysis of Ardean Tufail. He is not just a swoon-worthy book heartthrob. But he is also healing and inspiring. Thank you for creating such an awesome hero, Anjell.
