NOVEL REVIEW: HARI-HARI BERSAMA MIYU BY NATASHA MAZYA

Okay, now let's get back to today's objective. In today's post, I will share my review of a novel I read during my East Coast vacation. The novel is titled Hari-Hari Bersama Miyu (Everyday With Miyu). Hari-Hari Bersama Miyu (HHBM) is written by Natasha Mazya. Now let's begin this review with Natasha Mazya's bio...
ABOUT NATASHA MAZYA
Natasha Mazya is a Malaysian novelist. She begins her creative writing journey at the age of 16. At first, Natasha sees writing as a hobby. Later, Natasha realized that writing was not just a hobby. Writing is also her passion and dream.
Natasha's first novel is titled Mentekedarah. The novel was published under Dear Novels in 2023. Mentekedarah belongs to the horror genre. During the same year, Natasha's second novel, K-pop Girl: Atiny Yang Tabah was published under Bookiut. Hari-Hari Bersama Miyu is Natahsa's third novel. This novel is published in May this year under Bookiut as well. Hari-Hari Bersama Miyu is Natasha's tribute to her late cat, Kido.
ABOUT HARI-HARI BERSAMA MIYU
This slice-of-life and urban fantasy novel tells a heartwarming friendship tale of a cat named Miyu and a pixie fairy named Yara.
Miyu is a cute plum-orange cat adopted by Natalia and Zafran. Natalia and Zafran are two young married couples who don't have children yet. So to Natalia and Zafran, Miyu is their kid. Miyu is loved, cherished, and spoiled in a good way by his cat mom and dad ^_^
Like all pets in the story, Natalia and Zafran give Miyu a Vocolla collar. Vocolla is a high-tech collar that helps pets communicate with their owners in human language. With Vocalla, pets like Miyu can communicate with humans well.
Even though Natalia and Zafran care about Miyu, they still have their daily job to handle. Every time Natalia and Zafran go to work, Miyu is left alone at home all bored.
One day, Miyu meets Yara. Yara is a pretty and adorable pixie fairy. They become good friends. Miyu tells Yara that he always wanted to become a superhero just like his favorite cartoon character, Belang Hulubalang. Miyu likes helping and saving animals who are in need.
Yara agrees to help Miyu become the neighborhood superhero. Together, they share adventures saving and helping the neighborhood animals who are in need...
MY REVIEW OF HARI-HARI BERSAMA MIYU
Firstly, I salute the author for her unique imagination. HHBM is different from all the novels I've read before. It's a story from a cat's point of view. HHBM is an absolutely cute, adorable, lovely, and heartwarming read. Reading this novel puts a smile on my face and warms my heart.
The story promotes love and kindness. Be kind to all living creatures. Not just humans. And if you're a pet owner, cherish and love your pet dearly. You mean the world to them. I believe these are the two messages that Natasha wants her readers to bring home from HHBM. The messages are well-written and clearly understood. Good job, Natasha!
Besides the messages, I also like Natasha's writing style in this novel. Her writing is simple and precise. It is easy for me to visualize and enjoy the story. Hehehe... I always like stories with simple and precise writing style. It makes the story a fast and easy read.
I like all the characters Natasha creates in HHBM. All characters in HHBM are adorable and lovable. They make you smile. And they make you want to hug them. Miyu is absolutely adorable. And Yara is absolutely lovely. But my favorite character in the story is Dol. I believe Dol is the most adorable fictional goose an author ever created. Dol is very cheerful and adventurous. But Dol is also innocent. Dol makes you laugh with his cuteness. Hehehe ^_^
Other than the messages, writing style, and characters, I also like the way Natasha portrays Natalia and Zafran's husband and wife relationship. Natalia and Zafran are two loving young couples. They love and care for each other so dearly. Their relationship is so sweet. It warms your heart. And if HHBM turns into a K-drama, I wish to see Lee Sung Kyung as Natalia and Moon Joo Won as Zafran. Hehehe... just sharing my fan cast ^_^
Overall, I rate HHBM 10/10. Insya-Allah, I will read this novel again soon. This novel is one of the best books I've read this year besides Chasing Cassandra (Lisa Kleypas) and Lelaki Astatine (Anjell). I also highly recommend my fellow bookworms to check out this cute and heartwarming novel by Natasha Mazya. Trust me, you guys are going to enjoy Hari-Hari Bersama Miyu, and you will definitely fall in love with the characters.
Okay, so this is my review of Hari-Hari Bersama Miyu by Natasha Mazya. Reading Hari-Hari Bersama Miyu makes me want to check out Natasha Mazya's other works. I believe this is an author I should follow. Hehehe ^_^

DeleteI would absolutely love a collar that enabled us to communicate with our pets. I think every cat and dog owner would get one, it would be incredible! I think this story sounds really lovely, and a nice read.
