FOUR REASONS TO ADMIRE BYEON WOO SEOK

The success of Lovely Runner (a 2024 hit K-drama) made Byeon Woo Seok (BWS) one of the rising heartthrobs in Hallyu entertainment now. BWS is adored by fans worldwide for his amazing acting skills, charisma, X-Factor, and good looks. Besides being an actor, BWS is also a model. In fact, BWS began his career as a model before he ventured into acting. Till now, BWS is still active in modeling. He loves modeling as much as he loves acting.
This gorgeous South Korean actor and model was born in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on October 31, 1991. BWS has always dreamed of becoming an actor since he was a child. After graduating from high school, BWS went to Cheongju University to pursue his degree in Theatre & Film. During his college years, BWS was scouted by a modeling agency. Later, he signed a contract with the agency and withdrew from Cheongju University.
BWS started his acting career in 2016 by playing small roles in several dramas. In 2019, BWS joined one of the lead casts in Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency (a 2019 historical K-drama). In the drama, BWS played Do Joon and acted alongside Kim Min Jae, Gong Seung Yeon, Seo Ji Hoon, Park Jo Hoon, and Goo Won Hee. In 2020, BWS acted alongside Park Bo Gum and Park So Dam in Record Of Youth. A year after that he was cast in a Korean historical drama series titled Moonshine and won Best New Actor at the 2022 KBS Drama Awards. The award scored BWS a lead role in Netflix K-Movie, 20th Century Girl. He acted alongside Kim Yoo Jung in the movie. And their chemistry was undeniable.
BWS's success in 20th Century Girl marks the beginning of his stardom. During the same year, he played another lead role in a film titled Soulmate. The film was released in 2023. Also in 2022, BWS landed a villain role as Ryu Si-O in Strong Girl Namsoon. And in 2024, he played Ryu Sun Jae in Lovely Runner. And that put his name on the map of the world. Yay!!!
BWS's popularity and natural charisma also made him score loads of brand endorsements: from fashion to beauty to F&B to finance to electrical brands and many more. He is now one of the highly demanded commercial film kings in Hallyu. Besides his acting skills, good looks, natural charisma, and X-factor, there are other reasons that make everyone go gugu-gaga over BWS. Like most Hallyu heartthrobs, BWS is also a multi-talented celebrity. Yes, he can channel different kinds of roles. And he already proved it in Strong Girl Namsoon. But besides acting and modeling, BWS can also sing. Yep, he has the voice of an angel. Plus, his singing melts fans' hearts. And I'm not lying. He already proved it in Lovely Runner.
#2 HE HAS AN ADORABLE PERSONALITY
Besides his multi-talent and the four qualities I mentioned at the beginning of this post, BWS is also known for his adorable personality. He's good friends with many models and actors like Joo Woo Jae, Nam Joo Hyuk, Park Bo Gum, and Jang Ki Yong. And he appreciates their friendship a lot. Despite his talent, charisma, and handsome face, BWS is also known as a humble person. That's why we love him ^_^
#3 HE APPRECIATES HIS FANS
Besides his buddies, BWS also appreciates his fans. To BWS, his fans are precious. They made him the successful actor he is now. To thank his fans, BWS provides them with amazing fan service. During fan meetings, BWS makes eye contact, chats with his fans, listens attentively to their story, and even buys them coffee. Auwww!!! He is such a sweetheart ^_^
#4 HIS JOURNEY TO SUCCESS IS VERY INSPIRING
If an actor is blessed with awesome acting skills, stunning visuals, and charisma, he is likely to become a phenomenon during his debut. Well, that's what most people believe in. But not for BWS. This multi-talented actor takes quite a long journey to grow. He started acting in 2016 by playing small roles. And he was not a K-drama heartthrob during his early days. But BWS never gives up. He keeps on swimming and believes that everyone's journey is unique and so is his. And he proves us right. Plus, BWS's journey to success has become a beacon of hope for young people who are working on their dreams, including me ^_^ Not everyone can achieve their dreams and success immediately. Most important don't give up and believe in yourself. Trust Allah SWT's timing. If it's meant to be, it will find you. And the right path is not an easy one. In fact, it's the hardest and less traveled. But the right path always takes you to beautiful destinations. More beautiful than you can imagine.

He's committed. He needed to be a professional swimmer and singer to really fit the Sun Jae role...which are already quite an achievement. And yes, he got admirable personality 😁

The timing is also perfect for him. He became successful after he proves that he is versatile and multi-talented. That's very inspiring for me ^_^
