THREE REASONS TO VISIT THE BRONTË PARSONAGE MUSEUM
Eiyo Fadneiras,
I'm back to share a travel post with you guys. Yay!!! During our Lake District vacation last autumn, my family and I drove to Haworth, West Yorkshire, to visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum. The Brontë Parsonage Museum was the home of the famous and inspiring Brontë sisters. In this post, I will share the three reasons to visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum.
If you're a literature buff like me, you know who the Brontë sisters are. But if you don't, have no worries. I'll share a summary of the Brontë sisters here. After I share a summary of the inspiring sisters, I'll summarize the museum and three reasons to visit the place.
ABOUT THE BRONTË
The Brontë sisters were Charlotte, Emily, and Anne. Three of them were authors. They are also icons in English literature history. Their works are listed as classics and evergreen reads. Charlotte, Emily, and Anne were the daughters of Patrick Brontë, an Irish minister who spent most of his adult life in England. Besides Charlotte, Emily, and Anne, Mr. Brontë also had a son named Branwell, who was a painter and writer.
Charlotte, Emily, and Anne were born in Yorkshire. Charlotte was the eldest sister. She was born on April 21, 1816, and died on March 31, 1855, at the age of 38. That was 131 years before I was born. Charlotte is famous for her novels~ Jane Eyre (one of my all-time favorite reads), Shirley, Violette, and The Professor.
Emily was the second sister. She was born on June 30, 1818, and died on December 19, 1848, at the age of 30. Emily was famous for her novel, Wuthering Heights. I read that novel once when I was in high school. My mom made me read it. Wuthering Heights is one of my mom's all-time favorites. She has a huge crush on Heathcliff (the ML in Wuthering Heights). Hehehe ^_^
Anne was the youngest among the three sisters. She was born on January 17, 1820, and died on May 28, 1849, at the age of 29. Anne's novels are Agnes Grey and The Tenant Of The Wildfell Hall. So now you know about the Brontë sisters. Now it's time for me to share a summary of the Brontë Parsonage Museum...
ABOUT THE BRONTË PARSONAGE MUSEUM
The Brontë Parsonage Museum is located at Church St, Haworth, Yorkshire. In the 1800s, it was the home of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë. It was the place where they grew up and wrote their stories.

Okay, now let's check out the three reasons to visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum...
#1 IT GIVES YOU A FASCINATING INSIGHT INTO THE LIVES OF THE BRONTË SISTERS
Since the museum collection is made up of original Brontë items, it gives visitors an insight into the sisters' lives. If you're a fan of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë, this museum is a must on your bucket list. Visiting the Brontë Parsonage Museum makes you feel closer to the Brontë sisters. Charlotte, Emily, and Anne weren't just inspiring. But their lives were fascinating too.
Besides the three Brontë sisters, you can also learn about their brother, Branwell, and their father Patrick Brontë. Btw, it's wonderful to delve into the lives of our favorite authors and role models. I'm glad we visited the Brontë Parsonage Museum. Syukur alhamdulillah.
#2 IT ENHANCES YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LITERATURE
If you're a literature buff like me, visiting the Brontë Parsonage Museum is a must. As it gives you an insight into the Brontë sisters' lives, it enhances your knowledge of English literature as well. And if you're a writer, visiting the museum might spark inspiration for you to write your story. Besides writers and literature buffs, this museum is also a good place for all culture vultures to visit.
#3 THE GIFT SHOP IS AMAZING
Like all museums, the Brontë Parsonage also provides its visitors with an awesome gift shop to shop at after the tour. At the gift shop, visitors can shop for books (novels by the Brontë sisters in different publications, biographies of the Brontë sisters, children's books, and comics adapted from stories written by the sisters), and other Brontë souvenirs (postcards, posters, paintings, fridge magnets, and keychains of the sisters and their works). This gift shop is also a good place for a book haul. Hehehe ^_^ Last but not least, the staff are very friendly as well ^_^
Okay, so these are the three reasons to visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum. As a literature buff, I hope to visit this museum again in the future. I also wish to travel to Yorkshire again. I want to visit York. Besides the Bronte Parsonage Museum, I also wish to visit the Writers' Museum in Edinburgh, and Jane Austen's House in Hampshire.
So, has anyone visited the Brontë Parsonage Museum? If yes, what are your opinions of this museum? Did you enjoy your visit there? Are you guys a fan of the Brontë sisters? If yes, what is your favorite book from the Brontë sisters? Before I end this post, let me share some pictures I took at the museum...
Okay, this is all for now. Thank you for reading my blog. I'll see you guys again next week. Take care ^_^
